Day 1 Wednesday September 19


0900 boarding of bus at the Hotel les Balladins-Airport Mulhouse

0920 boarding of bus at the autoport of SAUSHEIM in front of the Arcotel (free parking)

Visit of COLMAR: by the tourist railway: House of Arcades, the ancient customs station, the “Pfister”house, the house of heads,
little Venice and the Krutenau , the leather makers quarter and the church of the Dominicans.

Afterwards some free time at your disposal / possibility to visit the Isenheimer Altar by Matthias Grunewald – a masterpiece of European painting.

12.00 lunch at the Restaurant Pfeffel, 1 rue du rampart at Colmar (phone no 03 89 41 45 71) “tarte Flambees”

In the afternoon we follow Alsatian Wine route.

First stop SIGOLSHEIM with a remarkable necropolis and a breath-taking view to the hilltops with their ruins, Colmar and the plain
RIQUEWIHR This old town has not suffered in the wars and stands as it was in the 16th century. It’s called the pearl of the vineyards. We will walk down the main Street.
15.30 Wine-tasting in a typical cellar.

Up to the castle of Hohe Koenigsburg

This castle in its dominating position has been completely renovated by the last German Emperor – we visit only the outside and enjoy the views.

Hüttenheim; check in at the hotel SUDHOTEL

Dinner “Baekaoffa” - Dress casual

Day 2 Thursday September 20

Breakfast

08.00 Departure for Strasbourg

0915 – 1025 visit of the town by boat

Free time until 1300. You can visit the famous Gothic Cathedral, the Bishops Castle (Palais Rohan), little France or one of the museums.

Alternatively you can shop or rest.

1300 lunch at the traditional restaurant “chez Yvonne”.
We shall have a choucroute alsacienne.

15.00 The bus takes us back to the Airport and then the autoport in Sausheim.
